A Sunday Morning Along the Bank of The Big Muddy
There is something to be found along a riverbed, something to be learned, feelings to be shared. There is something special about the magic of the moving water, going on and on, never to return. They say you never step in the same river twice. I imagined a snapshot of a moment frozen in time along the bank of the Mississippi, because as a child its flow is magical, the plants and animals are full of life. The idea that children could wander the hallway in search of hidden animals found in nature excited me. My hope is that children and adults alike will find peace, stillness, and learn something they didn't know about the native wildlife here in Monticello. That they will take away an appreciation and humble gratitude for nature and share that with the world. LOCATION: Monticello Community Center, 505 Walnut St, Monticello, MN 55362.
